Aneeka graduated from Queens University with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2010. Upon graduation she has been working full time in private outpatient orthopedic settings treating a variety of injuries across the age spectrum ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Aneeka is an energetic and motivated therapist dedicated to patient care. Her approach to treatment involves high quality, one-on-one physiotherapy interventions, emphasizing; hands-on manual therapy, rehabilitation/exercise and education. Her approach to treatment motivates and encourages her patients to be actively involved in their own rehabilitation.
A strong believer in the importance of continuing education, Aneeka has completed a variety of post-graduate courses including; Manual Therapy, Acupuncture (AFCI), Therapeutic Taping (including K-Taping), Vestibular Rehabilitation, and is a McKenzie MDT Part A Therapist. Her commitment to best practices and evidence based therapy ensures she is providing the best quality of care for her patients.
Aneeka obtained a Bachelors of Science with a minor in Psychology from Southern Arkansas University (SAU) in 2008 where she was a NCAA Division II Collegiate Athlete as a member of the SAU Women’s tennis team. She also has over 12 years of experience as a competitive tennis player and is a Tennis Canada Certified Tennis Instructor with over 10 years of experience coaching, teaching children, adults and tennis camps. Aneeka is proud resident and active member of her community in Barrhaven. Outside of work, you can find her on the tennis courts, running, mentoring local high school co-op students, or volunteering at local events in the community. She looks forward to being a part of your health and wellness team.
